What is TFP/TFCD?
Time For Print / Time For CD — industry shorthand for a trade-based shoot.
Instead of a client fee, everyone involved trades their time and skill for final images to use in their own portfolio: the model gets portfolio-ready shots, the MUA or stylist gets styled work to showcase, and the studio gets a concept it wouldn't otherwise shoot on a paid booking.
It's a fair-trade arrangement, not free work — usage terms for everyone involved are agreed in writing before the shoot, covered by a Collaboration Model Release.

Collaboration model releases
Every collaboration shoot is covered by a Collaboration Model Release — a written agreement that's different from the release used on paid client sessions. It sets out, before the shoot, exactly who can use which images and where:
- Both the studio and the collaborator receive full-resolution final images
- Both sides may use agreed images for their own portfolio and social media
- Any commercial or third-party use beyond portfolio/promotion is agreed separately
- For minors or any collaborator under 18, a parent or guardian must sign
