If you are between two answers
The suggestion this makes is a starting point, not a verdict. Plenty of sessions end up being a mix — a portrait session that turns glamorous once the make-up is on, a boudoir booking that starts with an hour of ordinary portraits to settle in. Nothing here is locked once it is booked.
Portraits or glamour?
Portraits are about looking like yourself on an ordinary good day. Glamour is produced — styling, hair and make-up, studio light, direction the whole way through. If you want the pictures for a wall or a family album, start with portraits; if you want them to feel like an editorial, start with glamour.
Glamour or boudoir?
Both are styled and both are shot in the studio. Glamour is fully clothed and made to be seen; boudoir is private by default and usually stays that way. The full comparison goes through wardrobe, mood and who ends up seeing the images.
Booking for somebody else
Gift sessions are common, and they change the answer. A voucher works better than a booked date when the person does not know yet, because it lets them pick the day and the collection themselves once they do.
