Glamour sits in an interesting spot: more styled than a portrait, more covered than boudoir. It's the session people book when they want to look unmistakably like themselves, turned up a notch — for a milestone birthday, a career change, a profile that needs to carry authority, or simply because nobody has photographed them properly since school.

What a glamour session is here

Styled, flattering and deliberate. Strong light, considered wardrobe, posing that's directed the whole way through. Suggestive is welcome; explicit isn't — that's what the Stefsetherealdream collection is for, and the two are booked and handled separately.

Practically, that means you can bring an evening dress, a sharp suit, a leather jacket, or the outfit you feel most powerful in, and we build the light around it.

Wardrobe: fewer options, better ones

  • Two or three complete looks beats a suitcase of maybes — complete meaning shoes and accessories included.
  • Fit over label. A well-fitting R400 dress photographs better than an ill-fitting designer one, every time.
  • Structure holds shape under studio light — tailoring, a defined shoulder, a strong neckline.
  • Texture reads beautifully: silk, leather, velvet, sequins. Fine stripes and busy prints tend to fight the camera.
  • Bring the seamless underwear that disappears under each look, and steam everything the night before.

Hair and make-up

Professional hair and make-up isn't required, but it changes how a glamour session feels — partly the result, mostly the twenty minutes of sitting still while someone else takes over. If you're doing your own, go one step stronger than everyday: studio light is flattering but it flattens, and a little more definition around the eyes and jaw survives it. Matte over dewy for shine control, and bring your lipstick along for touch-ups.

If you'd like a make-up artist on set, mention it when you book so the session is scheduled around it — and note that having someone else in the room is one of the comfort questions you'll answer beforehand.

Posing is not your job

Nobody arrives knowing what to do with their hands. Posing is directed throughout — where to put your weight, where to look, when to breathe out. Most people find the first fifteen minutes stiff and then forget the camera entirely. That's the normal arc, not a sign it isn't working.

Your comfort levels, agreed in advance

Before the session you'll complete your booking details online, including how you feel about each part of the shoot — styling, wardrobe, whether posing adjustments by touch are welcome, whether an assistant on set is fine. Three answers per topic: comfortable, open to discuss, or off limits. Anything marked off limits simply doesn't come up on the day.

Where your images go

Entirely your call. Glamour sits under the StefCreated client-session release, which means images may appear in the studio portfolio and on social media — and you can opt for private-only delivery instead, or approve individual images only. Full-resolution files are always yours to keep, delivered through a private gallery in about two weeks.
